Blackburn Clock Tower

CT Glass has IMG00088_20100928_1043.jpg_FORT.jpg worked alongside one of the North East's leading architectural glazing company to supply glass panelling for Blackburn's new Clock Tower.

Background
The client brief for the Clock Tower, located in "The Mall", Blackburn, specifically requested a toughened, heat soaked and laminated product. Due to CT Glass's in-house capabilities, they were able to meet this bespoke requirement.

Project Information
The Clock Tower was part of the £66million redevelopment project of "The Mall" shopping centre in Blackburn. The structure stands at 55 feet tall, and is built from 120 shaped and drilled glass panels with polished edges, all supplied by CT Glass

Why CT Glass?
Due to the challenging scale of the project CT worked closely with their internal Distribution and Transport team to a particular packaging sequence, easing the glazing process for their client.

CT Glass has a long standing relationship with the client who, since the installation of the Clock Tower, has again returned to CT as a trusted supplier, to produce additional panels to complete the refurbishment of "The Mall."

Results
CT provided 120 individual panels which were 21.5 toughened heat soaked and laminated with a 1.5 interlayer. The Clock Tower is now an impressive focal point of the redeveloped shopping centre, which was unveiled in December.
